Hey there! I hope everyone is having a wonderful and happy Valentine’s Day! This time of year, there is so much love in the air. I wanted to put together a styled shoot with some amazing vendors to show you how fun and beautiful a Valentine’s wedding could be. And I’m thrilled to finally get to share this stunningly romantic and moody Valentine’s Day wedding inspiration that is featured on Wedding Chicks, just in time for Valentine’s Day! See some of my favorite shots + the video from Marc and Anna below.
My vision for this shoot is based around a raspberry, dip dyed skirt from the talented Sweet Caroline Styles. The skirt and crop top combo is so unique, I just had to use it for this shoot. It is the perfect color for any daring brides out there that would like to add some color to their day. The sexy, yet elegant lace crop top is the perfect addition for this wonderful skirt. Two piece wedding outfits are becoming ever more popular with the modern brides of today.
Keeping with the unique and modern theme, I wanted a cake that was like no others. When you think about Valentine’s Day colors, black is probably the furthest from your mind. Not for me! Cakes by Carissa brought my black cake vision to life! The edible gold flakes added the perfect touch to the black cake, so chic. Carissa also made the most delicious, heart shaped cookies, cupcakes and cake pops to match the cake! Perfect for any dessert bar.
Too top off our beautiful bride’s look, we used some wonderful, organic makeup products from Love Thistle Brand. The color for the loose pigment eyeshadow was the perfect match for the dress! Handmade and organic makeup products are the way to go for any earth friendly brides. They also make a great addition to your bridesmaid’s gifts! The ladies at Melissa’s Hair, Health and Beauty Salon did a wonderful job with my vision for hair and makeup. I wanted a soft but smoky look for the make up and they nailed it. As for the hair, I wanted to show off the crop top as much as possible so, we went with an elegant and classic updo.
Valentine’s Day is a wonderful day meant for love. There is no better way to show your devotion to your forever person than getting married on such love filled day. Having a themed wedding is such a fun idea and makes it a little easier when picking out decor. The colors of Valentine’s Day are so wonderful for such an occasion. The reds, blushes, and even black make for a romantic and dreamy atmosphere for your special day.
